IAS - Insurance Agents System

A local Insurance Agency was maintaining records of their customer's Policies using a M/S Works spreadsheet. This one dimensional view meant that a number of inefficiencies were at play, for example; duplicate client records (policies with varying client names for the same client), a manual payments book, they could not provide and follow-up quotes in an automated fashion, they could not accurately forecast revenue from their Policies, and mail merges were a cumbersome process. Most importantly, they could not meet new industry auditing regulations. They also identified that there was no 'off the shelf' software that came anywhere near satisfying their specific needs.

Their solution was to employ Tamworth IT to develop an Insurance Agency System (IAS). After close consultation with the customer, we designed, developed and implemented an application specifically for their business. The project contained regular check points used to minimise risk and to make sure that the software would allow them to do business their way. The end result is a comprehensive business management application with more 'smarts', automation and 'bells and whistles' then they initially thought possible. IAS is now a commercial product and available to Insurance Agents all around Australia.
